Base game, Two DLCs and a plethora of new and updated content

(RELEASE TIME: 19PM CET) 10 March 2022, Munich, Germany: Outward – the open-world RPG where you can explore the dangerous and vast world of Aurai alone or with your friend – is coming soon to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S for the first time as Outward: Definitive Edition as well as PC.

Along with the base game, the Definitive Edition will contain two DLCs - The Three Brothers and The Soroboreans – along with new content and numerous quality of life updates and play balancing adjustments.

Seasoned adventurers will face new challenges in the Definitive Edition of Outward in the form of new unique encounters in dungeons, new defeat scenarios and some new diseases too.

Players can also look forward to a raft of updates improving their journey through Aurai.

For example, they will be able to access their stash while visiting a friend’s world, enchanting will be less finicky and there will be totem workshops in every region.

Crafting will be more accessible as well and making the world of Outward feel more cohesive, corruption hazards (that were previously DLC exclusive) will spread throughout the game. There are, of course, many other changes and challenges for experienced players to sink their teeth into with Outward: Definitive Edition.

Players who already own the base game and the DLC The Three Brothers can redeem a free copy of the Definitive Edition. For those who didn’t set foot into the world of Aurai yet: well now would be the perfect time to explore the lands, so lace your boots and grab your backpacks, adventurers!

Game Designer

Job description

Nine Dots is looking for a Game Designer to take charge of the entire design of a new game project.

This role will begin with a pre-production phase, after which the rest of the development team necessary to complete this project will be recruited.

For this mandate, we are looking for someone with both a macro and micro vision who demonstrates a high level of autonomy.

Must be willing to work at our office in Quebec city.


· Deep knowledge of video games and the game industry

· A strong affinity with system design and game balance

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Fluency in English

· Good notions of game feel

· Past experience working on game projects


· Experience working with Unity

· Experience building wikis

· Fluency in French

Nine Dots est à la recherche d’un ou d'une concepteur de jeu. Celui-ci prendra en charge toute la conception d’un nouveau projet de jeu.

Ce rôle débutera avec une phase de préproduction avant de recruter le reste de l’équipe de développement pour la réalisation de ce projet.

Pour ce mandat, nous recherchons une personne possédant une vision autant macro que micro et qui peut faire preuve d’un grand niveau d’autonomie.

Doit être prêt à travailler ou à déménager à Québec.

Prérequis :

· Connaissances approfondies en jeux vidéo et l’industrie.

· Forte affinité avec la conception de systèmes de jeux et de balance de jeux.

· Excellentes habiletés en communication écrite et orale

· Parler et écrire l'anglais à un niveau professionnel.

· Posséder de bonnes connaissances et aptitudes en « game feel »

· Avoir des expériences antérieures sur des projets de jeux vidéo.


· Expériences avec le moteur Unity

· Expériences avec la création de « wikis »
